Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her acting career began as a supporting actress in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt the actress played Willa McPherson, a reporter. She also appeared in the supporting role on the short-lived series The Ex List. In the initial season, she starred in the role of Moira O'Hara, a young Moira and in the second season, she was Kaylee. She voiced Jessie Anderson's character in AMC's The Walking Dead. Sophie played her character in the NBC show This Is Us. She is also the voice of many characters in the comedy show Family Guy. Since 2019she has been on the show as Melinda "Mel" Monroe who is a character from the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien, Connecticut, until the age of 10 when she and her mother moved to California. There, they went through a few different places before settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she began taking an interest in photography, acting and singing. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 15 to pursue a career in acting.
