Andressa Urach writes in her memoir Morri Para Viver about her sexual abuse by her foster father at the age between 2 and 8. Andressa managed to overcome all of these issues due to the fact that her foster grandmother witnessed the incident and allowed her to stay in her home. Her mother wasn't conscious of the abuse she suffered until Andressa published her book. The woman's interviews confirmed that it was impossible for her before her change of heart. To forgive her abuser was something she thought unattainable. The toughest decisions I've ever made I contacted the person who sexually abused me. This was no easy feat. After many prayer symphonies and fasting, I told my husband via phone that I was sorry for him, and while I didn't feel guiltless, I asked for forgiveness. Then I asked for forgiveness, without even justifying myself. Mariste Urach describes in a video interview with Globo about what she was feeling at first hearing about the abuse that her daughter suffered. She travelled into Rio Grande do Sul's interior to locate the culprit and take vengeance.
